Fritz Haeg
b. 1969, St. Cloud, Minnesota. Lives and works in Los Angeles.

Participating artist Fritz Haeg, whose art practice takes the form of gardens, choreographic works, and a series of “Sundown Salon” meeting activities, proposed a choreographic plan titled East Meets West Interchange Overpass Parade . Haeg considered the site of the parade route, which passes over the intersection of routes 65 and 70 (the intersection that begets Indiana’s nickname as the “Crossroads of America.”) He proposed to overturn the regular directional procession format in favor of an alternative choreography: two brigades of paraders marched towards each other and circled around each other on the site of the overpass. All participants were be audience to each other as they pass in this circle.
